FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The typical number of units is 30-100 units for partial to full-face treatment. Every person is different. We offer complimentary (free) consultations to discuss the client’s aesthetic concerns and determine which treatment(s) are best for each client.
Results are typically seen within 10-14 days. Follow-up treatment can be assessed at 14 days, and additional treatment can be done if there are still lines/wrinkles that the client wants treated. The cost is the same.
To minimize the possibility of bruising, non‐essential blood‐thinning medications or supplements should be discontinued for 10-14 days before treatment if possible. These include aspirin, ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Midol, Aleve, Excedrin, Alka-Seltzer, vitamin E, green tea, garlic, gingko biloba, ginseng, and St. John’s wort. If you have been prescribed aspirin or another blood-thinning medication such as Plavix or Coumadin for medical reasons, do NOT discontinue these medications unless okayed by your prescribing provider. Please be advised the bruising does not affect the success of treatment.
Botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau) injections are generally well tolerated with minimal discomfort. The use of a topical anesthetic is optional and generally not required. If you wish to apply a topical anesthetic at home, please notify your provider for a prescription.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to become pregnant, please alert your provider, as you are not a candidate for treatment.
If you cannot keep your appointment, please call 385-325-0311 to cancel or reschedule. Patients will be charged for missed appointments that are not canceled with at least a 12-hour notice.
Do not lie flat for at least four hours after your treatment. After four hours, you may resume your normal activities.
Do not touch, massage, or manipulate the injection sites. Avoid anything that will make your face or body flushes, such as direct sunlight, exercise, alcohol, hot showers or baths, hot tubs, or spicy foods for 24 hours to minimize redness and bruising. If bruising does occur, it will go away in several days.
You may apply cool water compresses to the treatment sites if they are uncomfortable or red.
If you develop a headache, Tylenol is permissible. Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen, as these agents may increase the risk of bruising.
To enhance the uptake of botulinum toxin, contract the muscles in the treated area frequently for 2-3 hours after treatment.
As every patient has different facial anatomy, asymmetry of the treatment result can occur with botulinum toxin injections. Sometimes the correction is less than what you had expected or wanes quicker than expected. Additional treatments may be required to try to meet your expectations. Please call your provider’s number to be seen for a follow-up should any of these concerns arise.
If you develop a droopy eyebrow or eyelid, do not be alarmed. This uncommon side effect is not severe. You should call your provider as there are eye drops that can be prescribed to alleviate this problem. This problem generally resolves in several weeks to several months. If you experience any signs or symptoms that you are concerned about, please do not hesitate to call your Nurse Practitioner at Elle Aesthetics at 385-325-0311.

The Treatment
Forehead Lines
Soften the lines and wrinkles on your forehead with a Botox, Dysport, or Jeuveau injection. We recommend ten to thirty units to reduce forehead lines. We’ll customize your dosage to give you natural results.
Bunny Lines
Bunny lines appear on the sides of your nose when you scrunch it. These lines can be reduced if we inject a few Botox, Dysport, or Jeuveau units on the sides of your nose. The results last from three to four months.
Scowl Lines
The continuous muscle movement between your brows causes fine lines to appear, and the “11’s”. Treatment with Botox, Dysport, or Jeuveau relaxes the muscles between your brows and gives you a softer, youthful appearance.
Lip Line/Lip Flip
A Botox, Dysport, or Jeuveau injection will give you a fuller upper lip. Give your lips an upwards appearance and improve your confidence.
Dimpled Chin
If your chin has overactive muscles, then dimpling can become apparent. Injecting Botox, Dysport, or Jeuveau can reduce the lines and wrinkles on your chin.
